Wugtrio ex wins by firing Pop Out Throughout to randomly hit one of the opponent's Pokemon three times for 50 damage each, dealing up to 150 total spread across the field or 150 to a single target. The deck uses Mantyke as a filler Basic alongside heavy water energy support to get Wugtrio ex attacking quickly.
Open by using Poke Ball to find Wiglett and get Wugtrio ex in hand through draw. Misty can load multiple Water Energy onto Wugtrio ex in a single turn if lucky, accelerating the three-energy attack cost. In the mid-game you fire Pop Out Throughout every turn, exploiting the random targeting to spread damage or focus down key threats. Giant Cape and Lucky Ice Pop extend Wugtrio ex's staying power. In the finishing turns Guzma pulls up damaged Benched Pokemon to score knockouts on targets that otherwise would not be reachable.

Misty flips coins to attach multiple Water Energy to one of your Pokemon. Landing two or more flips on Wugtrio ex lets you attack as early as turn 2 without waiting three manual attachments. Pair this with Professor's Research to cycle through your deck and find Misty before the opponent's attacker is ready.
Pop Out Throughout spreads 50-damage hits randomly, which can chip down multiple Benched Pokemon. Use Guzma to pull a weakened Benched Pokemon into the Active Spot and score the knockout directly. This converts spread damage into actual points, especially against decks that retreat injured Pokemon to safety.
Pop Out Throughout splits hits randomly across all available targets. Keeping only one Pokemon on the Bench forces all three hits onto a maximum of two Pokemon. Reducing the opponent's spread efficiency cuts the expected damage spread per turn significantly.
Gholdengo ex and Flygon ex are listed as hard counters to Wugtrio ex. These decks likely have sufficient HP or typing advantages to absorb the spread and knock out Wugtrio ex before enough random hits accumulate to score multiple knockouts.
Wugtrio ex needs three Water Energy. Without Misty landing two or more flips, the deck cannot attack before turn 3 at the earliest. Using Mars to shrink the opponent's hand before Misty is played reduces the chance they can chain acceleration trainers to reload quickly.
