Attacks used by your Future Pokémon cost 1 less [ C ] Energy.
Iron Valiant leads an all-Future team that leverages its Future System ability to reduce attack energy costs by 1 Colorless across every Future Pokemon, then races to score 3 points through sustained mid-range psychic pressure. The win condition is chaining knockouts with energy-efficient attacks before the opponent can establish their own attacker.
You open by using Poké Ball to find Iron Valiant as your Active Pokemon, immediately granting the Future System discount to Iron Boulder and Iron Crown on the bench. In the mid-game you load up Peculiar Plaza and Future Booster Energy Capsule to accelerate energy while drawing into your full roster with Professor's Research and Copycat. Sabrina and Cyrus give you targeting and disruption to remove prepared threats. In the final turns you pressure with whichever Future attacker best matches the board, scoring 1 point per regular knockout and 2 points per ex knockout to reach 3 first.

Iron Valiant itself does not benefit from its own Future System discount since the ability applies to your Future Pokemon's attacks, not its own.
Get Iron Valiant into the Active Spot on turn 1. Even though you skip your attack as the first player, the Future System ability activates as soon as Iron Valiant is in play, shaving 1 Colorless off Iron Boulder and Iron Crown from the very first turn your opponents can attack. Every extra bench turn you give your secondary attackers is a net energy gain.
Rotate between Iron Boulder and Iron Crown based on your opponent's active type. Use Sabrina to drag a high-value target into the Active Spot before swinging, and use Cyrus to disrupt an opponent who is about to respond with a threatening attacker. Scoring back-to-back 1-point knockouts against non-ex decks lets you reach 3 points faster than trying for 2-point ex swings.
Professor's Research and Copycat keep your hand full when your Future Pokemon are already in play. Mars disrupts the opponent's hand at a key moment. Rocky Helmet and Giant Cape in the flex slots let you survive counterattacks long enough to draw into a finishing attacker.
Iron Valiant sits at 100 HP with no defensive tools. Any attacker that hits 100 or more damage before the opponent can respond — or even accumulates chip damage over two turns — removes Future System from the field. Without the discount, Iron Boulder and Iron Crown demand full energy attachments, slowing the entire deck by at least one turn.
Iron Boulder and Iron Crown are both Future-type with type vulnerabilities that Charizard ex, Mimikyu ex, and Guzzlord ex exploit. Build around a Fire, Ghost, or Dragon attacker with enough damage output to one-shot the Future Pokemon before they can score back. The deck has no healing, so sustained chip damage also works.
Peculiar Plaza is in 98% of Iron Valiant lists for a reason — it accelerates the Future engine significantly. Play your own stadium to replace it before the Iron Valiant player can attach through it. Without consistent energy acceleration from Peculiar Plaza and Future Booster Energy Capsule, the multi-attacker plan stalls out.
