Koraidon ex wins by using its Legendary Drive ability to instantly swap from bench to active and redirect all your energy onto itself, then hitting World Wrecker for 110 damage. The deck plays an energy-pivot game where Koraidon ex can threaten a KO from anywhere on your board.
You open by building energy on any Fighting-type Pokemon in the active slot, then when Koraidon ex enters your hand you immediately play it to the bench and use Legendary Drive to swap it active — all existing energy in play moves to it. Professor Sada supports early setup, while Ancient Booster Energy Capsule enhances Koraidon ex's attack power. World Wrecker demands three Fighting energy and deals 110 damage while discarding the top card of your deck. Korrina searches out Fighting-type Pokemon or Items to keep your attack chain moving.
Build up Fighting energy on any active Pokemon — Great Tusk or another Fighting type — then play Koraidon ex from your hand to the bench. Legendary Drive immediately moves all energy in play onto Koraidon ex and switches it active. This creates a fully charged attacker in a single action, catching opponents off guard who expect a standard energy attachment sequence.
Korrina searches out Fighting-type Pokemon or Items, keeping your hand stocked with relevant resources. Use it to find Great Tusk for early energy accumulation, or search for Ancient Booster Energy Capsule to attach to Koraidon ex before it attacks. Arena of Antiquity provides a stadium boost that enhances your Ancient-type Pokemon further.
Koraidon ex's power relies on energy already sitting on other Pokemon. If you keep knocking out the energy-bearing Pokemon before Koraidon ex enters play, there is nothing to redirect. Scoring early KOs on Great Tusk or the active staller removes the energy pool that Legendary Drive inherits.
Gallade ex and Espeon ex hold 25–29% win rates against this deck because Psychic types exploit Fighting's type weakness. Any Psychic-type attacker that deals boosted damage to Koraidon ex turns a two-shot KO into a one-shot, scoring 2 points efficiently and leaving the deck without its central offensive threat.
Arena of Antiquity and Starting Plains provide passive boosts to Koraidon ex's offense and survivability. Replacing these stadiums with your own or removing their effects limits the deck's damage ceiling and forces Koraidon ex to attack without its intended support, making World Wrecker's 110 damage less threatening in extended exchanges.
