Crabominable uses Last-Chance Punch to threaten 90 damage from a single Fighting energy once its HP drops to 30 or below. The win condition is baiting damage onto Crabominable, then swinging for a finishing KO while your diverse Fighting roster picks up additional points.
Open by establishing Crabrawler on the bench and using your single-copy support attackers — Hitmonchan, Hitmonlee, Hitmontop, Tyrogue, Marshadow — to trade early points. Mid-game, get Crabominable active and deliberately absorb chip damage, ideally with Giant Cape or Rocky Helmet modifying the damage exchange. Once Crabominable sits at 30 HP or less, Last-Chance Punch jumps from 30 to 90 damage, threatening most mid-HP Pokemon. Use Sabrina or Cyrus to manipulate targets and maximize the payoff turn.
Crabominable at low HP
base 30 + bonus 60 = 90
Requires remaining HP to be 30 or less when Last-Chance Punch resolves
Get Crabominable active with Giant Cape increasing its effective durability, then let opponents chip it down. Rocky Helmet returns damage to the attacking Pokemon while you wait. Once HP falls to 30 or less, Last-Chance Punch hits 90 — enough to KO most mid-range attackers. Pokemon Center Lady can reset the threshold if timing is wrong.
Tyrogue, Hitmonchan, Hitmonlee, Hitmontop, Marshadow, and Lucario each score independent points against opponents who leave low-HP targets. Use Sabrina to drag up a vulnerable benched Pokemon, use Cyrus to disrupt the opponent's setup, and chain single-energy attacks to reach 3 points before Crabominable even needs its powered-up swing.
If you are playing against Crabominable, heal its active before it drops to 30 HP to nullify Last-Chance Punch's bonus damage. Any healing effect that keeps Crabominable above 30 HP forces it to deal only 30 damage, making it non-threatening. Force it active before the bonus is online, then finish it quickly.
Crabominable has only 120 HP and a retreat cost of 3, making it stranded once active. Burst it down in one or two hits before it reaches the 30-HP threshold. Fire-type attackers with sufficient damage — such as those in Entei ex or Skeledirge builds — can eliminate it before the bonus triggers.
Every attacker in this deck runs as a single copy. Knock out Crabrawler before it evolves to shut off the deck's main win condition. With no redundancy in the evolution line, a single well-timed Sabrina to drag Crabrawler active and KO it removes the entire Crabominable threat from the game.
