Keep Suicune ex in the active spot during your setup turns to trigger Legendary Pulse at end of each turn. Even one or two free draws accelerates finding Baxcalibur, Rare Candy, or Giant Cape. This passive advantage compounds — the longer Suicune ex stays active while you build, the better your hand quality becomes.
Ramp Energy with Baxcalibur and Close with Chien-Pao ex
Use Poké Ball to search Frigibax, then Rare Candy to reach Baxcalibur and accelerate Water Energy. Once Baxcalibur is active, Chien-Pao ex becomes a high-damage secondary threat. Inflatable Boat and Starting Plains provide energy and board positioning flexibility when pivoting between attackers.
How to Beat This Deck
Keep Your Own Bench Minimal
Crystal Waltz counts both your and your opponent's Benched Pokemon. Playing with a lean bench of one or two reduces the damage Suicune ex can output each turn. Fewer benched Pokemon on your side means Crystal Waltz stays at 40-60 damage, well below one-shot range for most attackers.
Knock Out Frigibax Before Baxcalibur Evolves
Baxcalibur is the energy engine. If you can KO Frigibax before it evolves — or disrupt the Rare Candy draw — Suicune ex is stuck relying on normal energy attachments. Without Baxcalibur's acceleration, the deck's damage output is significantly delayed and the game tempo swings in your favor.
