If your opponent's Active Pokémon is a Pokémon ex, this attack does 70 more damage.
Meowscarada is a Stage 2 grass attacker that hits 130 damage against ex Pokemon with Fighting Claws, creating a powerful point-scoring threat against the ex-heavy meta. The deck aims to set up Meowscarada quickly via Rare Candy and punish opponents who rely on ex attackers.
Open by placing Sprigatito with Poke Ball and loading grass energy. Sprigatito's Cry for Help puts a random grass Pokemon from your deck into your hand, helping assemble the line. Professor's Research fills your hand with additional pieces including Rare Candy and Meowscarada. In the mid-game, Pheromosa can pressure the bench with Jump Blues while you complete your Stage 2 line. Once Meowscarada is active, Fighting Claws at 130 damage against ex targets scores 2 points per knockout, closing games quickly when opponents rely on ex attackers. Leaf Cape raises Meowscarada's effective HP by 30, and Erika heals 50 damage from one of your grass Pokemon to extend its lifespan.

Fighting Claws against any ex Active Pokemon
Use Poke Ball to grab Sprigatito on turn 1, then use Sprigatito's Cry for Help or Professor's Research to find Rare Candy and Meowscarada. Skipping Floragato entirely saves a full turn and lets you threaten Fighting Claws before opponents stabilize their own attacker.
Identify the opponent's ex attacker and keep Meowscarada active to fire Fighting Claws for 130 every turn. Each ex knockout scores 2 points, so two ex KOs end the game. Cyrus pulls a damaged benched ex into the Active Spot to accelerate your point lead.
Attach Leaf Cape to raise Meowscarada's effective HP by 30 and use Lucky Ice Pop to heal 20 chip damage from your Active. Fragrant Forest lets each player put a random Basic grass Pokemon from their deck into their hand once per turn. These layers let a single Meowscarada trade through multiple attacks without getting knocked out.
Meowscarada is a Stage 2 and cannot function without Rare Candy or a clean evolution sequence. Applying early pressure with fast basics forces the opponent to retreat Sprigatito or stall evolution by one to two turns, often deciding the match before Meowscarada is online.
Fighting Claws deals only 60 damage against non-ex targets. Decks built around high-HP non-ex Stage 2 attackers can take hits and fire back without gifting the opponent the 2-point ex knockout bonus, turning the math entirely against Meowscarada.
Skeledirge and Sceptile both hold win rates of 70-75% against this deck. Bringing a fire or grass-type counter removes Meowscarada's offensive threat before it can score enough points to matter.
