Miltank wins by stacking its Rolling Frenzy damage bonus each turn it stays in the Active Spot, starting at 10 damage and growing by +30 per subsequent use. The deck protects Miltank with an unusually large suite of healing and disruption trainers to keep it alive long enough for the damage to reach KO thresholds.
Open by deploying Miltank immediately — it is the deck's only Pokémon and needs to be active from turn 1. Use Rolling Frenzy on every turn it stays in the Active Spot, as each use stacks +30 damage on top of the previous total. Spend early turns layering healing items (Potion, Big Malasada, Pokémon Center Lady, Lucky Ice Pop, Leftovers, Sitrus Berry) to erase the damage Miltank takes. Use Blue to reduce incoming damage and Team Rocket Grunt to discard an opponent's energy. In finishing turns, Rolling Frenzy should be dealing 70, 100, or more after several stacks.
Any Active Pokémon (turn 1 of stacking)
base 10 + 30 (first stack) = 40
Rolling Frenzy; each use adds +30 permanently while Miltank stays Active.
Any Active Pokémon (turn 3 of stacking)
base 10 + 30 + 30 = 70
Three consecutive uses; Miltank must stay in the Active Spot throughout.
Miltank's damage only grows when it stays in the Active Spot. Alternate between rolling each turn and using a healing item (Potion, Sitrus Berry, Big Malasada, Leftovers, Lucky Ice Pop, Pokémon Center Lady) to offset incoming hits. Giant Cape and Heavy Helmet increase survivability further, giving you more turns to accumulate the stacking bonus.
Team Rocket Grunt discards one energy from the opponent's Active Pokémon each turn, delaying their attacks. Blue reduces incoming damage, Red Card shuffles the opponent's hand away, and Whitney forces them to deal with additional conditions. Repel locks the opponent's Active so they cannot freely retreat a damaged Pokémon to safety while you stack damage.
Rolling Frenzy's +30 stack resets the moment Miltank is moved. This deck runs only Miltank with no bench, so forced-switch effects that require a benched Pokemon (like Sabrina) cannot be played against it. Repel can force Active Basic Pokemon to the bench, but the Miltank player has no bench to swap in — focus on raw knockout pressure to reset the stack by winning the game outright.
Miltank has 110 HP and relies on many small heals to stay alive. A single attacker dealing 110+ damage in one hit KOs it outright before any healing can fire. Decidueye, Serperior, and Pyukumuku all win 75% against Miltank. Stack healing denial or raw damage to exceed Miltank's heal rate in a single swing.
Miltank's entire strategy depends on burning healing trainers each turn. Poison or burn effects that deal damage between turns force Miltank to consume its limited one-shot healing items (Potion, Sitrus Berry) faster than they can be reused. Once the healing suite is exhausted, Miltank's HP erodes quickly regardless of stacked attack damage.
